How do I order my MicroFridge?
Get started by selecting your school and following our easy online ordering procedure.  Our on-line option makes ordering easy and secure.

I want to order, but I do not know my roommate or room assignment
If you would like to order and have not received your roommate assignment, simply order now and you will be guaranteed to have a unit reserved.  If after receiving your housing assignment, you find you no longer need the unit, you can simply cancel the order.  All orders cancelled prior to delivery will receive a full refund.  If we receive an order from both you and your roommate, we will automatically cancel the second order received and issue a full refund.

Will my unit be in my room when I arrive?
All orders received by August 10th will be installed prior to the start of the academic year.  Later orders will be delivered within two weeks of the order date.  Orders received after August 10th will be subject to an additional $10 late fee.

I’m arriving at school before the regularly scheduled freshman move in day; will my MicroFridge be in my room?
We coordinate with the schools to deliver all orders placed by August 10th before the date set for the freshman class to move into the dormitories. This schedule does not accommodate early arrivals.

What if I need to cancel?
Orders cancelled prior to delivery will receive a full refund.  Orders cancelled during the first 30 days of the academic year are subject to a $40 charge.  Orders cancelled after the first 30 days are non-refundable.

Why purchase Damage Insurance?
This low cost insurance ($19.99) gives you peace of mind.  There will be a lot of young adults coming in and out of your son/ daughter’s dorm room throughout the year.  Most of the damage that occurs is the result of someone else and NOT your son or daughter.  For this reason, we strongly recommend that you protect yourself from additional charges for any damage that might occur.  You will end up splitting the cost of this insurance with the roommate, so it will cost you less than $10 each to have this valuable protection.

What if I change rooms or leave school?
Students are responsible for notifying The Melvin Corporation if they are leaving school or changing rooms by completing our on-line Service Request. This insures that we can successfully pick up your unit at the end of the academic year.

What do I do if my MicroFridge stops working properly?
If for any reason your MicroFridge stops working properly, complete our on-line Service Request Form.  Our service representative will contact you and make arrangements to replace the unit, generally within two business days.  Refer to the Service Request section for details.
